Trying Something New!

Got the new Dale "Cougar" Armstrong book and decided to try some of her patterns. Some were really bad patterns but one is working out beautifully. I made a bracelet base that turned out beautifully but the stone is hard to set. Here is the base:

Now I just have to figure out how to get the stone in there. They do turn out beautiful. My friend, Betty ( lvsbeadsnthings.etsy.com ) made this one to show that:

Beautiful job, Betty! Here is her modified version:

This girl has so much talent! I only hope mine turns out as great!!! Stay tuned...

Jo, you did a fantastic job on your bracelet. I can't wait to see the finished piece. Setting the stones is no easy task and believe me I burned a bunch of wire just to prove that ROFL.

Thanks so much for including my bracelets in your blog. Love ya lots g/f. You ROCK!

There's a trick to making it all turn out well and look awesome and you'll pick up on it Jo. You're a smart cookie! It looks so great so far. So putting in the focal is a bit of a challenge? Hmm...I'm wondering how I'll fair at trying my hand at those bracelet patterns. What do you mean by "bad patterns"?
